A. All of the Garmin automotive GPS units that speak street names are also loaded with basic voice prompts. If one of these types of voice prompts has been selected, the voice prompts will not speak street names. In order to change this setting on the StreetPilot c340, please follow these steps: • In the Main Menu, tap the “Settings” icon. It is shaped like a wrench. • In the bottom right hand corner of the screen, tap on “Language” • Select “Voice Language” • This screen will show a list of languages for your device. All text-to-speech languages have a person’s name after the description of the language. There will be a woman’s name for a female voice and a man’s name for a male voice. For example: American English – Jill is the female voice for American English that speaks street names. Select a language and tap “OK”. Your device should now speak street names.
