My title (author list, section title) is too long to fit in the running heads. How can I get a shorter version?
• A shorter version can be provided by separately specifying the text to appear in the running head, after the relevant \title, \author or \head command that contains the full text, to change the running head on the left- or the right-hand page respectively: \leftheadtext{alternate text} \rightheadtext{alternate text} • For an article in a journal or proceedings volume: • The left-hand running head is the author list. • The right-hand running head is the article title. • For a monograph: • The left-hand running head is the chapter title. • The right-hand running head is the current section heading, or the chapter title if the chapter contains no sections.
