No. If you want to use the TrustMark logo and benefit from being part of this initiative you need to register with a scheme operator and then sign and return your TrustMark member’s agreement as soon as possible. I don’t want to join a trade association. Can I still join TrustMark? Yes. You can register with one of the independent certification bodies or through a local authority that we have approved. They will carry out the same level of checks and will accept you into TrustMark if you meet the relevant standards. Our firm has Competent Person status – we can self-certify that our work complies with Building Regulations. How does this affect our application to become TrustMark registered? Competent Person schemes cover the same ground as TrustMark but do not provide the full range of competence or consumer protection checks.
