On the Y-DNA Haplotree page, what do the letters and numbers in the Haplogroup Information box mean?
If you have taken one of our Y-DNA SNP tests (Backbone or Deep Clade), your SNP (single nucleotide polymorphism) results are shown under the Haplotree tool in the Haplogroup Information box. The names of the SNPs are numbers prefixed with a letter or set of letters indicating the research lab that discovered it.
