(Tuscaloosa County) The fee is based on the gross amount of all orders or contracts accepted in the State of Alabama between October 1st and September 30th of each year. (City of Tuscaloosa and Northport) It is based on the previous year's gross receipts less payment made to licensed sub-contractors. First and second year businesses must estimate and/or annualize their gross receipts through December 31st of that year.
