Not yet, but the Medicare Prescription Drug bill fixed the Medicare Medical Savings Account section to remove the regulatory impediments put in by the Clinton Administration. Medicare is now reviewing the changes to the old Medicare MSA law, and will be issuing new regulations later this year. Once those new regulations are issued, it is likely Medicare Savings Accounts will be offered to Medicare seniors. HSAs are called Medicare Savings Accounts and will be available as soon as Medicare issues new regulations based on the changes to that were made in the already existing provision of the Medicare law, which were contained in the Medicare Prescription Drug bill signed into law by the President in December, 2003.
