Once the ILHIE grants are awarded, what is HFS plan/timeline moving forward? What are the next steps in terms of using federal Health Information Technology (HIT) funds?
Successfully attracting federal HIT funds to Illinois will hinge upon the collective ability of HFS, partner state agencies, and collaborating stakeholders to organize and demonstrate readiness to advance toward the goals of ARRA. HFS hopes that the successes of these planning projects can be leveraged to obtain further federal HIT funds as outlined and defined in ARRA and any future federal legislation or rules.
