I think there are actually two more reasons. The sunglasses make it harder to id the Secret Service Agents (although I'm sure people still can ID them) The sunglasses issued use Eagle Eye technology. Eagles have the best know eye sight on the planet. Lenses based on an eagles eye, give the wearer more clarity and less eye stress even in low light conditions. Very important when you job is to spot items that are typically under wraps in the shadows of someone jacket. Even a person with perfect vision may not be able to pick it out, but with those glasses, chances tend to go up that it will be spotted.  more
