People will not obey the yield on the ramp from State Route 161 eastbound to I-270 southbound. What can you do?
Unfortunately, we can’t force people to drive correctly. We’ve installed as much signage as possible to alert people of the yield ahead. We have installed two Watch for Stopped Traffic signs, one Yield Ahead sign and one Yield Sign on the ramp. Motorists are creatures of habit and do not adapt well to change. If it continues to be a problem, we will work with local police to try to ticket these people. Why is the left turn lane being eliminated at S.R. 161 westbound into Strawberry Farms?
