You need to find out from your guidance counselor the age requirements for dropping out of school The age varies by state. Note the word dropout above. You will be considered by many to be a dropout even if you obtain a GED diploma. That will hurt you. The GED test is not easy, particularly the math if you have failed classes. Many do not pass the test. Your school if you do dropout will be able to inform you about GED classes in your area. They may be different from each other in how they are organized and the hours of attendance. That said, you are better off straightening yourself out, remaining in school and obtaining a regular high school diploma.
