The controlling player chooses in which order to resolve end-of-turn effects. So a follower could end its move 2 squares from a door, then move 2 extra squares and open the door. Or the player could choose to resolve door effects first, then move the follower 2 squares to be adjacent to the door. In that case, the door does not open until the end of the turn of the next character to act. A player could also end a follower’s move adjacent to the door, then resolve door effects (opening the door), and then move the follower 2 squares through the open door. The door would stay open until the end of the next character’s turn, at which point it would close if no character is adjacent.
