Questions #19: Will Stark County provide matching funds for money received from individual landowners or developers to maintain county ditches that have been neglected and long-overdue for cleaning?

Answer #19: At this time, the only funds committed are the $500,000 annually appropriated by the Stark County Commissioners for drainage projects. These funds will be allocated by the Stark County Commissioners on a case-by-case basis, depending on an evaluation of all pending projects. Leverageing county funds with other funds from land owners and developers will be considered along with general benefit/protection each project will provide to the public when choosing projects to fund.
