What’s up with Queen Amidala & Anakin getting together? Queen Amidala is 14 in TPM, Anakin is 9. If they get together it’s suppose to be atleast 10 years from the first movie. The Queen would be 24 and Anakin would be 19, which is not as big of an age difference mentally/emotionally. (TPMN, AFS). In AOTC Queen Amidala has returned to Coruscant as Senator Padme. Anakin is assigned as a body guard to her, and they end up going back to Naboo for her safety. During this time Anakin confesses his love for Padme. Their positions keep them from being together. When faced with death Padme confesses she loves Anakin. At the end of AOTC they are secretly married. Is there to be any romance between Amidala and Obi-Wan? There is some illusions to it in the books. (In Queen Amidala’s Journals there is a scene where he comforts her about Qui-Gon’s death. She then insists he join her for the victory celebration.)
