Recently my cat has been diagnosed with the beginning of renal failure and my vet has advised to stop Metacam. Is there anything else I can give my cat?
Metacam reduces the blood flow through the kidneys, this could tip a patient into severe renal failure. Renal failure patients can lose body condition which worsens the arthritis. It is therefore important that the renal failure is treated with diet food and possibly medication (Fortekor).
