Ruined Tinted Windows on 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

0

I recently bought a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and had the windows tinted on all the windows. I have been going to my guy for 4 different cars now and have referred several people to him. Needless to say he does a great Job at a good price. Although on this particular vehicle the front windows have been completely scratched and need to be replaced due to the rubber moldings that hug the window on the inside of the door panel. It is due to the fact that their is no felt on the rubber molding on the inside, but there is felt touching the outside. Has this ever happend to anyone? Has any one heard of it happening to this particular model and year of the vehicle? A: It happens more frequently than you’d suspect. Acuras as well. The felt strip can easily be replaced on the passenger side by removing the door during the film installation. The strip has a double sided adhesive that will protect the film from scratching when debris gets into that window area. Your installer needs to be reminded
