You can make a card design using tape to create a triangle, then paint inside it with a background shade and then various colored dots for Christmas bulbs! Unconventional colored trees can make a really cool piece. Glitter or other materials can be used too.
A DIY windchime can turn out gorgeous when using glass beads/natural crystals/symbols. Dollarstore thick jewelry thread will be knotted on one end and then the pattern of beads is applied. Make as many strings of beads as you want. If you add Bells or spoons using a sturdier thread there will be more noise from your windchime. This looks really nice on a sunny porch!
