Should a parent be held responsible if their under age child commits a crime?

I think the parent should have to go to child raising classes which would be for everyone’s benefit but punishing someone doesn’t directly improve anything. No, one can control another person we all like under the law of our own mind. I think if they went to the classes atleast it would show that they understood how to handle things. Then I feel like if they child continues to get into more trouble & the parent is doing everything that any good parent would do then the parent can not be held responsible. People who think they can control children have never raised on themselves. have gotten very lucky or have really raised some sneakyass children. Now if a parent is in someway responsible for the crime that the child committed then off course they should be held resposnible like anyone else would be.
