Should high school students have part time jobs before graduating?

I’m a recent high school grad and I believe that it would be in any high schoolers best interest to get a job while in school still. Reasons being that it can help develop skills, make money for college/car. It’s nice to have money saved up after high school that way you’re not so stressed out thinking about how in the hell am i gonna pay for college without being carried by loans you have to pay back with interest. Also, I also believe it helps put a positive influence in someones life when they’re independent and have money of their own to spend. Not to mention jobs can open up many more possibilities thanks to the experience you gain while doing so. Just my two cents.

It would help students learn to balance priorities better, would help them learn monetary and budgeting skills, and would help them learn how to behave in the workforce. School doesn’t give hands-on training for any of these things, and they are aspects of life that everyone will have to deal with if they plan on working after high school or college (which they probably will). It provides a different aspect of learning that is crucial to being successful.
