Should I adopt a one eyed, partially sighted 6 month old cat?

As an owner of a partially sighted cat, I say go for it. My sister found our cat when she went to get the mail one day and saw a tiny gray kitten sitting by the postbox. He only had one eye, and the other would barely open. She brought him to my family, who took him to the vet even though we agreed he would only spend one night with us. The vet told us that he was only born with one eye, and that in the other the third eyelid hadn’t completely developed, so what little vision the poor thing did have was partially obsucred. In addition to that, he was so young he shouldn’t have been away from his mother! We have no idea where he came from, as no cats in our neighborhood had given birth, to our knowledge. Despite agreeing only to take care of him for a while, he grew on my family as well as myself.
