Should i buy the PENTAX X90 or FinePix HS10 / HS11 ?
The Fujifilm (not Fujitsu) camera has a few features that sound more appealing to me. It has a much higher ISO rating, 6400 vs. 1600 which means you can take pictures in darker situations. It has a longer minimum shutter speed that gives you several options such as “painting with lights”. It also has a higher video resolution, 1920 x 1080 vs. 1280 x 720. You can see what kind of pix other photographers are getting with it here http://www.flickr.com/groups/1326104@N20… It also has a 58mm lens thread. This means you can buy filters, such as a polarizer, for your camera. I can only guess that the dual designation HS10/ HS11 is a marketing ploy. One model number is for one market (maybe the USA) and the other is for Europe. Canon does this by calling the USA cameras Powershot and the Europe cameras IXUS Digital, same exact cameras.
