Should I choose granite or cultured marble for my bathroom vanity countertops?

If you think cultured marble does not look as nice, think again. I personally think cultured marble looks great, depending on the style and color you go for. There are quite some great designs, not the ones in stock, but the ones that require special ordering. And yes, cultured marble, to me, is easier to care for. My vanity countertop has been there for 4 years and still look new. Very easy to clean, just use water and wipe dry. With granite, you have the seal it from time to time. But, generally it is not hard to keep it up. And yes, granite gives you the expensive look, but I find it hard to integrate the look in a bathroom. You will need to be really careful to pick a color. If you think the expensive look is “nicer”, and you will be able to pick a compatible color, then go with granite. Costs? In stock granite tops are pretty cheap these days.
