Just above the ankle is very unflattering. I would still stick with a floor length dress, but not a ballroom skirt. Something in a shape similar to this (tight down through at least the knee) will not “trip him up,” so to speak. http://image.made-in-china.com/2f0j00QCe… There is another option, shorter dresses (just above the knee) can have a height-breaking effect by creating visial definition. So choosing a dress just above or just below the knee will visually break your height down. Don’t go too short though, or the length of your legs will have a reverse effect and make you look taller. Honestly, no matter what you dress length is, he will still be shorter than you. There is no way to hide it. Just get the dress you really really want and envision yourself in.
