Should i get the Warhammer vampire count battalion or skaven battalion?
Well, you’re going to be pretty well off either way you go – I have more experience with Vampire Counts, so I’ll start there – In the VC battalion, you get a unit of zombies, a unit of skellies, a unit of ghouls, and a corpse cart. Not a bad start, considering that three of those units are recently updated models. The ghouls in particular are really nice. All you’ll need is a hero to lead your army, and you’re set. Skellies and zombies aren’t the greatest troops in the game, but they are fearless, so that’s a big plus. The corpse cart (if I’m not mistaken) acts as a chariot, so that’s a fast unit able to either augment your exisiting units or do some damage on its own. The Skaven box also has a lot of really inexpensive troops, but with some nastiness in the form of Rat Ogres – over 70 models total. They just re-did the Skaven army book, so that’s a plus, in that it’s the freshest lineup of rules and models (except for Beastmen) in the game. Skaven used to be a really ridiculously powe
