No and No. Would you look for the cheapest doctor to do your heart surgery? No. Not all attorneys do bankruptcy work. Just like any other profession, not all attorneys that do bankruptcy work provide the same quality service. This does not mean that you need to hire the most expensive, either. You might call around town and check to see if the attorney is well thought of in the legal community. While price matters, you often get what you pay for. And try to find someone that really likes to help people. Just make sure that you put some thought and effort into who you hire to assist you in dealing with thousands of dollars of debt. It matters.
