Should I inseminate cows in the oestrus induced after anoestrus period?
Insemination of anoestrus cows in the first induced oestrus should generally be avoided with the exception of induction with progestagens as usually it results in very poor pregnancy rates. After a long period of anoestrus majority of cows experience a short luteal phase after the induced oestrus associated with embryonic loss.
