Well Paul W. S. Anderson the director did this as a 3d movie. He meant for it to be seen only in 3d but not all theaters have a 3d projector so it will be in 2d in many places. So if you see it in 2d you will miss out on many of the effects he did in the movie you can only see in 3d.
