These sites usually offer users the convenience of comparing rates of different rental companies side by side. They will often provide a little information about each company or user reviews of different companies. At times, they may have special deals with hotels, airlines or rental companies, allowing them to offer their customers lower prices than offered elsewhere. However, many of these sites will charge a booking fee on top of the regular quoted price, so many people utilize the sites as a comparison method, and then book directly at the company's website. Some people also complain that for rental car purchases on these sites, you often need to prepay for your entire rental period, rather than simply reserving a vehicle with no cost. Cancelling your reservation or making changes via third party can prove to be a more difficult task than if you had booked directly with the rental car company.
