Should mentally challenged people have kids?

This is a problem…. Does a mentally challenged person have equal rights as those we consider “normal”? I’d argue they did. If that is the case we have no right to deny them the opportunity. I know it makes sense to prohibit it but to do so you would be doing the one thing that we hold dear; denying rights to another human. We really need to avoid doing that. It’s a slippery slope. Deny one right today, deny another one tomorrow and next thing you know we are living in a tighly controlled society with limited freedom and few basic rights. Who will determine what rights we have and will we need to conform to the will of a few individuals based on their opinions and morals?
