Should P2P file sharing be legal or illegal?

P2P file sharing isn’t illegal obviously, I think it should be. It is destroying the music community, the bands are losing money in cd sales, and how many people actually buy mp3’s, or genuinely pays for pc programs, if they don’t have to? I mean really, if you can get if for free, that’s what you’ll do, unless your really true and passionate about the music, or honest towards the product. Publicity is up, but only for shows, concerts and whatnot, and word of mouth, which doesn’t amount to sales of the actual product. Now it’s VERY hard for a band to make it, and for companies to sell their products, particularly computer softwares of all types. I don’t think it’s possible to ever really shut all the P2P applications down. Most of the content that is being shared is obviously pirated, and offered to whomever wants it for free, making 1 copy into virtually as many as possible as it is downloaded, the companies lose millions because of this, but P2P sharing I think will always be around,
