Should scalping concert tickets online be illegal?
Scalping makes me mad. You have sometimes in the area of 60% of the total original tickets being bought by people who will not step foot into the door only to resell the tickets for much more $. Some times that can keep the true fans away from the building putting the tix into the hands of only those who can afford it. I like the rules that Missouri has where it is illegal to resell tickets above ticket value. I live in Houston and when the Astros were in the Playoffs against the Cards it was cheaper/easier to find tickets in St.Louis then in my home town Houston due to the laws. It is rediculous and not fair to the average consumer because the scalpers have programs / insiders getting them tickets before we can. Sometimes selling out in 3 min while I have been in line at ticketmaster all morning.
