Should song lyrics be considered poetry? Why?
I think lyrics have their own catagory. Lyrics often have literature and poetry characteristics. Im not leaning towards either, because they could be catagorized as both for different reasons. Lyrics are often used to express ones feelings and thoughts just like poetry and literature can. Lyrics are often written to be read/sang with music, to get the listerners attention, and to express ones feelings in a creative and ingaging path.
