Should the CopySafe PDF Reader be distributed with my Copysafe PDF documents?

0

Providing the reader is not necessary when distributing singular CopySafe PDF protected documents to end users for the first time. In these cases you can convert the PDF with reader support embedded into the document which will automatically install the CopySafe PDF engine when not found on the end user’s computer. However if distributing many CopySafe PDF documents or distributing to end users on a regular basis, then it is most recommended that you convert your documents as library files (ENC) and provide a link to the CopySafe PDF Reader, thus reducing the size of your CopySafe PDF libraries by about 3 Mb.
