No, I don’t think that the minimum wage should be raised with the economy as it is. Enough people are out of work as companies struggle to survive and extra wage costs would result in either companies going under or more job losses in order to pay the people who they need to keep. Either way not good. Also if minimum wage goes up so to does the cost of other things in line with this (including the utilities that you pay) so you would not be that much better off I’m afraid. While it is a nice idea and I would love for my family to earn more. reality is, it is not viable at this time.
