Should we hunt whales to extinction? Or should the world take action to protect them?

We should take action to protect them and their environment. Hunting whales for “scientific reasons” is a shameful sham to cater for the mainly Japanese market in whale meat. Imagine the outcry if hunting of Elephants and Rhinos were allowed for “scientific purposes” and Ivory and Rhino horn were sold on the open market. In the Pacific pollution is already destroying the marine environment on a scale that is destroying the habitats of several marine species, not just whales. Check out this video report. I find it truly shocking: http://www.disclose.
