Should we move from the burning of coal to a Carbon Neutral system in Britain?
The system of burning trees or using bio fuels is effectively carbon neutral. However the requires a huge amount of land to grow all trees which make it currently uneconomical since it is far cheaper to take oil out of the ground use that a fuel. I don’t think the system you are suggesting could work in britain because we just don’t have enough land going spare. I think that the solution for the future of Britain’s energy: I think that the solution for our future is a combination of various different energy sources. The government should be subsidising renewables more heavily taxing carbon emissions, whalst we still have cheap energy. The government should also be investing in new technology which would help provide for our future. In the end though we have to accept the oil will become very expensive when it starts to run out and if britian is still as relient on oil as it is today then the whole contry is going to get one hell of a lot poorer!!
