When a student transfers from a district, no ‘exit coding’, within Student Special Education Program File K, needs to be provided. OSPI will be able to identify those students who have received special education services and then moved to other schools or districts. In CEDARS there is not a data element, or box, to mark Yes/No to indicate the student is receiving special education services. If a student is receiving special education services the appropriate information will be provided within Student Special Education Program Files K. If a student is not receiving special education services, no data for the student will be reported within this file.
