No, your CKC-registered dog can NOT be registered with AKC unless both of its parents were registered with AKC. http://www.akc.org/press_center/akc_syndicate/ask_AKC/0407.cfm If you wanted an AKC-registered dog, you should have purchased an AKC-registered dog. If the breeder told you otherwise, he/she was wrong.
