Specialty schools are great, but they should be utilized by older children, not Pre-K 6. Who knows what their children are going to excel at in K, 1st or 2nd grades?
The Board has directed the administration to further study and investigate the possibility of expanding choice elementary schools that would allow parents to send a child to a school that places an emphasis in a certain area. Those who do not agree with this approach have the choice of attending a school without a “specialty.
