Stairs in dreams – what do they mean?

0

The symbolism of dreams is idiosyncratic. That is, dream symbols are determined by the knowledge and experience of the dreamer. That said, there are some themes that seen in many people. You can try these ideas as interpretations of your dreams and see if they fit. Repetitive motion often symbolizes sexual intercourse. Walking up/down stairs is repetitive, so stairs often represent sexual intercourse. Sliding down a banister suggests masturbation, but I’m not sure why I think that. Since they are large swerving banisters, they represent some sort of a wild ride. It might be that the pairing of the banister with the staircase means you think of sexual intercourse as a wild ride. The rats are “obstacles [to having sexual intercourse] that you fear.” You would be the person to figure out what those obstacles are. If you are interested in dream interpretation, read “Man and His Symbols” by Carl Jung. They will probably have it at your public library, or you can buy it used from bookfinder.
