Steiner MIDI EVI Patchman MusicHow do I set the Transposition on my MIDI EVI?

To transpose to Bb on the MIDI EVI: 1.) Put left hand thumb between 2nd and 3rd roller AND finger Bb AND touch the 1/2 Button. 2.) Then put your thumb between the highest two rollers (AND don’t touch any valves) and touch the Programming button. Step 1 “records” the offset from middle C into the memory. If you want to transpose to Eb, then finger an Eb while doing Step 1. The octave you have selected with the left hand thumb is also figured into the offset. So you can transpose the horn up an octave by putting your thumb between the 3rd and 4th rollers and fingering a C (no valves) and touching the 1/2 Button for Step 1. More info is in the revised MIDI EVI manual available here.
