Stimulation of the heart by autonomic nerve fibers traveling with the vagus nerve causes?

0

The vagus nerve is controlled by the Autonomic Nervous System which, involves the Parasympathetic = Peace or when the body is calm ( basic explanation) and the Sympathetic System= Stress ( flight or fight, basic explanation) . The vagus nerve is part of the Parasympathetic ( Peace) as one of it’s branches effects the thoracic region. This branch of the vagus nerve goes to the lungs, the esophagus for peristalsis and, the heart for SLOWING of the heart rate. I hope that this is useful.
