Talent Acquisition Systems: What is Taking So Long?
We are concluding our Talent Acquisition Systems 2011 industry study next month and have noticed a very interesting trend. Although organizations have an appetite to invest in talent acquisition systems, they are hesitant to make a strong commitment. Why are organizations delaying their decisions to invest in what is often considered the “bread and butter” of their recruitment function? Despite a strong demand for these systems, organizations are still hesitant to make a long-term commitment to one solution provider over another. In many instances, the sales cycle takes anywhere from twelve months to three years. That is a significant increase in the six-month sales cycle we saw only a few years ago.
