The computer bid Blind Nil with a high Spade, why?
This is correct behaviour and is part of the risk of a Blind Nil bid. Let me explain a bit more: You bid ‘blind’ which means you must bid BEFORE you see your cards. Typically, it is a desperation bid when you are far behind and will lose if you don’t get some serious points fast. This also means that if you have the AS or any other high cards, you may automatically lose. You can enable card swapping which helps. You can also just turn off Blind Nils since they are so risky. In most cases, the player was way behind and in danger of losing so the player took a risk to try and catchup. Aggressive players are even more likely to bid this aggressive bid. Blind Nils are disabled by default to help prevent this confusion. If the Blind or Suicide Nil bidder does receive a guaranteed loser such as the AS or several high Spades, it is often considered best to take a trick early.
