You can operate the Concentrator plus as a concentrator, desiccator or as a centrifuge. There are three different modes for various solvents available for the concentrator or desiccator function respectively: for aqueous, for alcoholic solvents and for solvents with high vapor pressure. The concentrator function enables the quick concentration of samples via vacuum (fast evaporation of the solvent) and centrifugation (prevents foaming over/sample loss) in the rotor. The desiccator function enables fast drying under vacuum conditions without using a rotor, e.g. for filter papers. The sample can be placed directly in the rotor chamber; the rotor axle doesn’t rotate during the run. With the centrifuge function, the rotor spins, but the rotor chamber is not evacuated. For optimal concentration performance we recommend the settings you find in the chart.
