The league requires all players to wear shin guards during practices and games. These can be purchased anywhere sporting goods are sold, such as Dicks Sporting Goods. Other than shin guards, there is no mandatory equipment needed. Many players do purchase soccer cleats, just make sure they are for soccer and not football or baseball. The easiest way to tell is whether or not there is a cleat on the very front toe area of the sole. Other additions to a soccer uniform would be soccer shorts and tall socks that will be worn over the shin guards. The last item needed would be a proper sized soccer ball. Size 3 for 4 year olds – kindergarten. Size 4 for 1st and 2nd graders, and size 5 for 3rd grade and up. All of these items can be purchased at any sporting goods store such as Dicks Sporting Goods, our league sponsor.
