The logger time is wrong after I have set it and disconnected, why has this occured?

The logger is normally fitted with a clock battery backup, so if the external power supply is removed the time should be maintained. However, if the battery goes flat, and the logger is disconnected from its power supply for any reason then the real time clock time is lost.
