A. JPG is the imaging industry’s most common format and is compatible with many third-party imaging software packages. This format has the advantage of smaller file sizes because it compresses the image information. The disadvantage is that the compression may result in a slight reduction of image quality. The MediCap uses very little compression so you may not notice any loss in image quality. In other words, JPG is an excellent format choice for many users. BMP is a format that does not use compression so there is no loss in image quality, but the disadvantage is that the file sizes can be relatively large. PCX is a format used by some specialized software packages. If you do not have a particular reason to use this format, you should probably use one of the other formats instead.
