One of the reasons for this problem is that the signal from the radio station could be too weak and the antenna is therefore not peaking it up. If the problem is replicating in places you know the signal is strong, then you might be looking at a problem with the installation of the antenna. Now if this one worked fine, and after some time ceased to work, we would advise you to go to Best Buy and have the technicians take a look at it.
