The seat belt does not retract when my child falls asleep in the Maxi-Cosi Rodi. What should I do?
Answer The Maxi-Cosi Rodi SPS, Rodi XP, Rodi XR and AirProtect provide greater sitting comfort and safety for your child. Both the child and the car seat are secured with the seat belt. The Maxi-Cosi Rodi XR and Rodi AirProtect have a reclining position, while the Maxi-Cosi Rodi SPS and XP do not. If a child falls asleep and slumps forward, the seat belt will gradually move forward together with the child. This is a feature of automatic belts. If the automatic mechanism does not roll up the belt properly, the third belt point (direction of the automatic mechanism) is probably in an incorrect position, i.e. placed too far forward. The seat belt is then threaded at an almost impossible angle, resulting in too much friction in the belt hook. This situation can occur in some station wagons, for example. For this reason we recommend that you try installing the car seat in your car before purchasing it. Your retailer can help you with this. Note: Always secure a Rodi seat with the belt, even
