The steering wheel no longer controls the front wheels on my PlasmaCar. Can this be repaired?
Yes. The steering wheel might have simply come loose. Remove the plastic cap at the center of the steering wheel, and with the steering wheel aligned with the front wheels, tighten the nut below with a 17mm socket wrench. This will pull the head of the bolt up into the expansion joint, causing it to spread and grip to the inside of the metal column of the front wheel assembly. To view how the steering hardware fits together, please download our assembly instructions. If re-tightening the nut does not solve the problem, because the threads on the bolt are stripped, you will need to order a ‘knurled flange expansion cartridge’.
